Understanding each type of handpiece, how they work and why they need to be maintained a certain way. Learning the correct handpiece maintenance procedures to minimize failures, maintain a high level of cross infection control and increase the lifespan of the handpieces.

Presenter biography
Sam Vaizie
Sam Vaizie has over 25 years’ experience working in the dental industry. Sam qualified as a dental technician in the UK in 1996. Following a move to Australia in 2001 he worked for Premier Dental as the Asia Pacific Sales Manager. For the past two years Sam has enjoyed working for the leading handpiece manufacturer, NSK, as their Queensland Business Development and Educational Manager.
