Course Overview
Our patients are becoming increasingly aware of the impact that their smile has on their confidence and quality of life. Their keen attention to detail has seen the goal post shift from, initially being solely concerned with teeth having perfect dimensions and shade, to now paying close attention to the immaculate framing of the gingival tissues surrounding these teeth. Dr Marina Kamel, a Brisbane-based specialist periodontist, will discuss the aetiology of gingival recession. She will discuss the rationale for managing recession, the options available to the patient, the anticipated outcomes, and help develop a decision making tree on when to refer and what to expect for each recession type.
