ADAQ Toowoomba - Sub Branch CPR Event
This meeting is for ADAQ Members and Toowoomba Sub-Branch Members.

Meeting Overview

Toowoomba Sub-Branch is please to advise they will be holding a CPR course on Friday 13th October 2023.
There are 3 sessions available.

Duration: 2 Hours
Sessions: 8.30am, 11.30 am and 2.30 pm.
Max 15 Registrants for each Session

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to allow for a prompt start.
 
Toowoomba Event Package Holders: free  
Non-Package Holders, Non-members, including staff: $90

Please only register if you are able to attend as you will be asked to pay the full fee if you cannot attend on the day, in order to recoup costs.

Attendees will be required to provide (or create) a unique student identifier (USI) prior to training.
Creating a USI only takes a couple of minutes, and can be done here: https://www.usi.gov.au/your-usi/create-usi
If anyone has a USI but cannot remember it, it can be recovered here: https://www.usi.gov.au/find-my-usi

Please note numbers are limited, so early registration is recommended if you wish to attend. 

 
HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is run by BLS First Aid

This CPR course specifically covers the ability to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation on adults, children and infants.
This course covers skills and knowledge required to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
It will provide you with an understanding of how to apply Basic Emergency Life Support, CPR and defibrillation (AED) until more advanced medical help arrives.

CPR Course Content

  • Respond to signs of an unconscious casualty
  • Follow the DRSABCD Action Plan
  • Calling emergency services
  • Management of unresponsive casualty/ recovery position
  • Airway management of adults, children, babies
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on adults, children and babies
  • Complications with resuscitation
  • Cross infection
  • Operate a defibrillator (AED)
  • Calling emergency services


Please note: All course participants must undertake a practical demonstration of CPR on the floor with a manikin for 2 minutes
