Presenter/s Biography

Dr Alexandra Davies
B Oral. HD. Sc, GDip.Dent 

Dr Alexandra Davies graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and a Graduate Diploma in Dentistry in 2014. Alex has a love for, and excels in all fields of dentistry with a particular interest in Endodontics and Facial Aesthetics. With her kind and understanding demeanour, gentle nature and bubbly personality, she is an asset to the team. Alex was born just over the hill in Samford. After working in Samford for a number of years she decided it was time to venture out and start Admire Dentistry. She is a firm believer in taking a holistic approach to health and endeavours to pass this on to her patients. Alex also values honesty and transparency when it comes to her patients’ treatment needs. She keeps active and healthy, and enjoys the outdoors.

Colin Taylor
BOQ Specialist

Colin Taylor from BOQ Specialist is a financial specialist who has spent the past nine years working exclusively with medical, dental and veterinary professionals. Colin has helped hundreds of doctors, dentists and vets secure their own practice, start a new practice or buy into an existing business.

Paul Copeland
Chartered Accountant and Director - William Buck

Paul is a Chartered Accountant and Director at William Buck Chartered accountants with over 25 years’ experience advising clients in the medical industry in relation to tax issues. Paul’s experience includes assisting practices at a start-up phase, working with group practices and assisting individuals to sell their practice. Paul’s work has seen him work with the AMA and providing education to the members of various medical colleges.

Georgina Odell
Commercial Lawyer - Meridian Lawyers

Georgina has more than 20 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer and acts for a range of business clients from medical practitioners, pharmacists, dentists, and online health businesses to companies listed on the ASX and national peak body associations. She handles the sale and acquisition of businesses and companies, mainly in the healthcare and child care sectors and prepares a wide range of commercial agreements including partnership, shareholder and buy/sell agreements, terms and conditions of business (including for online health businesses), privacy policies, data breach response plans, contracts for services and services and facilities agreements. Georgina also provides advice on the leasing of commercial premises and business disputes. Georgina is a sought after presenter, regularly delivering seminars and educational training sessions for dental, pharmacy and veterinary practitioners.

Samantha Yurchenko is the Business Development Manager for Henry Schein One Qld/NT.  Since 2014 Samantha has been helping practices to understand industry data and their own business data to help setup or grow dental practices and improve oral health outcomes for local communities.  Sam holds a Bachelor of Business Degree with Distinction majoring in Marketing and has over a decade of experience in business technology and software.  Samantha is passionate about process improvement and the fascinating insights data provides businesses because what gets measured gets improved.

Tim Browne
Owner, IT Masters

Tim Browne has worked in the Information Technology industry for more than 25 years.  His love of technology started as a teenager when his high school was one of the first schools in Australia to purchase a main frame server, writing his first software code in the early Eighty’s.  The opportunities this afforded, led him to study electronics at University and following that, a career in Melbourne’s music and recording industry working with new evolving digital equipment. Tim started his first I.T. business in the late 90s and a move to the Sunshine State for family reasons in the early 2000s saw the establishment of I.T. Masters. With the experience of running his own business and working with a multitude of businesses across a wide range of industries, Tim understands that I.T. must have strong a focus on business security and continuity.
