Why should I renew?
ADAQ is here for you. We provide essential resources and services for Members and engage with government, stakeholders and the community on your behalf to ensure we are the preferred and trusted source of knowledge and information about oral health and clinical practice in Queensland.

How much is ADAQ Membership?
There are a range of ADAQ Membership categories available, please click here to view the categories and prices.

How do I renew? 
We’ve sent all current Members an email, with a link to renew for you. If you cannot find that email, please click here. We have included instructional videos that steps you through the renewal process (view further down). 

  • Login with your username & password (if you do not remember your password, click forgot password)
  • If you choose to pay by credit card, click 'Pay by Credit card'. Fill out the payment details and click Submit Order
  • If you choose to pay by BPAY, please login to your internet banking and use the details displayed in your member portal
  • You will receive an email with your tax invoice
  • We will notify you when your new membership certificate is ready

Insurance FAQ's

What does the ADAQ QBE insurance policy cover?
The insurance policies we sell are comprehensive. When you take out insurance through us, you are covered for the total scope of dentistry.

Unlike other insurance providers, QBE insurance does not add loading to your policy if you undertake certain procedures such as implants, orthodontics or extraction of molars. You may only need to take out an extension cover through us, if you undertake botox treatment solely for cosmetic improvement.

I practice general dentistry and have been looking at adding an area of practice that wasn't disclosed in my application for insurance. What do I need to do to ensure I'm covered for this new activity?
Your QBE ADAQ Members Professional indemnity policy currently provides a broad definition of Your Profession with the Product Disclosure Statement. As a general dentist who is appropriately licenced and trained, you can undertake any activities included without referral. Contact the ADAQ Membership team ([email protected]) to discuss any queries you may have. 

I'm thinking of retiring or otherwise ceasing practice permanently. What is the process should I make that decision?
Unlimited run-off cover is available to qualifying members upon application to ADAQ. For qualifying members applying for this cover within 90 days of ceasing practice, Your policy will be endorsed to provide ongoing indemnity for Your activities performed up until the date You ceased practice. It is important to notify Us of the cessation of Your practice. If you don't advise Us Your policy will not be endorsed to provide run-off cover which may expose you to liability arising from claims, you first learn about beyond the date you ceased practice. 

Do I Qualify for the QBE part-time / restricted Professional Indemnity Policy?
In order to qualify for the part-time/restricted category, you are required to limit your working hours to 20 hours or less each week. Unfortunately, you cannot average your hours across 2 or more weeks to qualify for this category.  For example, if you work 10 hours one week and 25 hours the following week, then you do not qualify for the part-time category and the QBE full-time category is more appropriate for you. 

Do I need to notify ADAQ that I am placing implants as part of my practice? I want to be sure that I am covered.
Yes. Provided you notify ADAQ that you are placing implants as part of your practice and pay the loading, you will be appropriately covered. Anyone who places implants as part of their practice needs to notify ADAQ, except registered specialist periodontists.
Restorative procedures on implants do not require notification and do not attract an additional loading.

Do I need to notify ADAQ that I am placing orthodontics as part of my practice? I want to be sure that I am covered.
Yes. Provided you notify ADAQ that you are performing fixed orthodontic treatment as part of your practice and pay the additional loading, you will be appropriately covered. Anyone who performs fixed orthodontic treatment as part of their practice needs to notify, except registered specialist orthodontists.

Removable appliances such as fixed retainers or clear aligners do not require notification

How do I take out insurance with ADAQ?
You can purchase insurance with ADAQ online. Submit the online application form to calculate your premium.

 

Payment Options


This year ADAQ is offering members two payment options for membership:
Option 1 - Pay in full
Option 2 - Quarterly payments (must submit a new direct debit form  to [email protected])

Is there any benefit for me to pay in full?
Yes! If you choose to pay in full prior to 30 June 2022 then you can claim your membership (and insurance renewal) as a tax deduction in your 202-2022 tax return. Alternatively, you will need to wait until the following years tax return.   

Can I pay quarterly?
Yes, ADAQ is offering Membership payments quarterly. When you go to renew online, select quarterly payments. Fill in the direct debit form and return to [email protected]. 

Does the Early Bird discount apply to my quarterly payments?
Yes. ADAQ is offering a 10% Early Bird discount on the ADAQ membership fee, if you renew before 25 June 2022, 11:59pm. When you go to renew online, select quarterly payments. Fill in the direct debit form  and return to [email protected].Your first payment will be reduced by the full amount of the discount applicable to you.

What is the Early Bird discount?
ADAQ is offering a 10% Early Bird discount on the ADAQ membership fee, if you renew before 25 June 2022, 11:59pm. Your membership fee will also display the ADA Federal fees, which are unfortunately not discounted.

The Early Bird Offer applies automatically to your ADAQ membership fees. You do not need a promotion code.

Can I pay both my membership and insurance quarterly?
Unfortunately, we could not reach an agreement with QBE to offer quarterly payments for your insurance premiums. Therefore, by 1 July 2022 you will be required to pay your insurance premium in full but only a quarter of your ADA/ADAQ Membership subscription.

What dates will my payments for quarterly Membership be taken?

Quarterly payments will be taken on or around the following dates.

  1. Thursday 30 June 2022
  2. Friday 30 September 2022
  3. Saturday 31 December 2022
  4. Friday 31 March 2023

Am I charged an administration fee for choosing quarterly? 
No, you will not be charged an administration fee.

What are my payment options for membership?

  • Credit card – pay your fees in full by using your credit card online (no fees apply)
  • BPAY – Access your invoice to access the BPAY reference number
  • EFT – Access your invoice to see ADAQ’s bank details

Accessing Certificates and Invoices

How do I download my tax invoice?

  • Visit the ADAQ website
  • Login to your Member portal
  • Click on my payments tab and your current tax invoice is available to be downloaded.

How do I access my 2022-2023 Membership certificate?
To access your certificate, you will need to follow the renewal process and nominate your preferred payment option. Once completed, your certificate will be available within 3 business days via your Member portal.

How do I access my 2021-2022 Membership certificate?
Previous membership certificates are unable to remain in your Member Portal, if you would like to request a copy of a previous Membership certificate, please email [email protected].

How do I access my 2022-2023 Insurance certificate?
To access your certificate, you will need to follow the renewal process and nominate your preferred payment option. Once completed, your certificate will be available within 3 business days via your Member portal.

How do I access my 2021-2022 Insurance certificate?
Previous insurance certificates are unable to remain in your Member Portal, if you would like to request a copy of a previous Insurance certificate, please email [email protected].

Does ADAQ offer parental leave Membership?

If you insure through ADAQ with QBE Insurance, your coverage will expire 4 pm, 30 June 2022. After this date you will no longer be covered.
